O pray tell us , the plotter of Perak
Why there are two Peraks ?
A Perak elected by the people
of the people for the people
Another Perak created by evil people
Seized by the powers that be
with force and usurped the assembly of Perak.
We are so confused
But not bemused
With two menteri besars
Two state assemblies
Two excos and two speakers.
We are just ordinary folks
We know nothing of the way of the crooks
We cast our votes
The results spoke of our votes
And thought it would go down in history books.
We woke up one day
And found to our dismay
Our beloved Silver State
Robbed by an overpowering bait
That stung everyone awake.
The leaping of three greedy frogs
Who ought to be flogged
For throwing a legitimately elected assembly out of town
For turning our peaceful lives upside down
And sending the country into the abyss of slumdog
We do not know which way to go
Which way to follow
With One White Perak
Or the other One Black Perak
For we are still in a Yellow State of limbo.
